Stellar shortlisted for Microsoft prize

Stellar and Toyota

For the second year in a row, Stellar Consulting has been named a finalist in the Microsoft New Zealand Partner Awards – this time for its work with Toyota New Zealand.

Stellar is up against three other finalists striving to be named Microsoft’s Data Analytics Partner of the Year.

The award, formerly named Business Intelligence Partner of the Year, recognises a partner which has delivered a Data Analytics solution based on the Microsoft Business intelligence platform. The winning solution must have augmented a customer’s resources with self-service analysis and enabled the customer to make more aligned and informed decisions, with better team collaboration.

The solution must be based on the Microsoft Business intelligence platform, including, but not limited to, the latest versions of Microsoft SQL server, SharePoint and Excel.

Stellar, which has already been recognised as a Microsoft Gold Data Analytics Partner and a Silver Data Platform Partner, provided Toyota with a BI solution that integrates finance, sales, vehicle management, parts inventory and customer relationship management systems, as well as external industry data, into a “single source of truth” for New Zealand’s leading automobile brand.

The use of the Microsoft BI platform allowed Stellar to design SharePoint dashboards that closely resemble the Excel charts and tables that were widely used at Toyota. This permitted incremental, low impact release cycles to transition users onto the enterprise BI platform with minimal training and disruption.

Winners of the Microsoft 2015 Partner Awards will be announced at a gala dinner on 19 March in Auckland.
